The Old Town Hall, where you will find the Visitor Centre, replaces the medieval Moot Hall. The central part dates from 1669 and the clock tower surmounts the 1717 extension. This was the meeting place for the city council until the opening of the Civic Centre in 1964 and also served as the courts.
